SUMMARY

Whiteout Solutions is seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager to oversee our geospatial projects.  These projects require tracking and communication for both internal and external customers to assure a complete, high quality, and on time project delivery.  The project manager will track tasks associated to field services, specifically focusing on the collection, processing, and delivery of topographic and topobathymetric LiDAR datasets and also all follow-on tasks assoicated to data processing and data delivery. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning to final deliverables. Communication is key both internally and externally and requires an individual with good verbal and written communication skills.  One that is detail oriented and can assure all members of our interal team stay on point with porejct requirments.

Position requires working closely with field technicians including pilots and surveyors, geospatial analysts, software developers and customers as we bring our ever-evolving technology to market. This position will require a hard-working individual who is nimble yet focused on delivering new technologies for Whiteout Solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement detailed project plans, outlining timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
• Ensure the efficient and safe execution of field data collection, adhering to strict quality and safety protocols.
• Oversee the processing and analysis of collected data, collaborating with the field services team to ensure data accuracy and adherence to customer specifications.
• Own and maintain communication on project progress and results to customers, addressing questions and concerns promptly.
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline project delivery and enhance customer satisfaction and improve Whiteout Solutions efficiency.
• Maintain documentation and records for all project phases.
• Responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to deadlines and within budget.
• Coordinate all schedules for project team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan.
• Define and communicate the project’s objectives to project team.
• Oversee quality control throughout project life cycle.
• Work with sales and business development team to gather as much information as needed to successfully execute project.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geospatial Sciences, Geography, or a related field.
• PMP Certification
• Proven experience managing complex cross-functional team projects, especially those involving geospatial data collection and LiDAR.
• Familiarity with UAV technology, LiDAR systems, and geospatial data processing software.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

• Experience using GIS software for modeling and analysis.
• Experience with database mapping systems (GIS), File Geodatabases, Shape Files, XML, LiDAR.
• Knowledge and/or experience with remote sensing & collection.
• Ability to independently make accurate and timely decisions.
• Proficiency in use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Positive attitude / Great Energy
• Well-spoken and in-tune to project needs
• Experience running Teams/Zoom meetings and sharing project updates to stakeholders
• Experience problem solving and working with the team to best solution for all

• Salesforce – interact with corporate salesforce system to track any work with customers.

JOB CONDITIONS (Environmental, Time, Relationships):

• Sitting for long periods of time in front of a computer monitor, exposure to office environments.
• Must have valid driver’s license. Operate a motor vehicle infrequently. Be insurable.
• Travel via roads or air to visit, work or train at customer locations.
• Vision must be sufficient to use computer monitor, telephone and other required office equipment.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Regular office hours. Some out of hours work may be needed for scheduled project completion.
• Regular customer contact is required via telephone, email and live meetings (in person or Teams).
