5. GeoSAP Deployment Models and Privacy

GeoSAP may be deployed in different ways. Privacy and data handling may vary depending on the selected deployment model and customer configuration.

5.1 Local Mode

In Local mode, GeoSAP Desktop may communicate with Whiteout Solutions’ backend infrastructure. Information may be stored or processed on Whiteout-controlled systems, including account information, project management information, licensing information, resource data, configuration data, and other data required to provide GeoSAP functionality.

5.2 Local Distributed Mode

In Local Distributed mode, customers may operate GeoSAP Orchestrator and GeoSAP Processors on customer-controlled infrastructure while GeoSAP Desktop may still communicate with Whiteout Solutions’ backend for certain core platform services.

5.3 Hosted Mode

In Hosted mode, GeoSAP may be deployed within the customer’s own infrastructure or network. In this context, “Hosted” generally means hosted by the customer, not hosted by Whiteout Solutions, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

For Hosted deployments, the customer may have greater responsibility for infrastructure, storage, security, access controls, backups, monitoring, and system administration. Whiteout’s access to data in Hosted environments may be limited and governed by the applicable agreement, technical configuration, and support arrangements.

6. Telemetry, Diagnostics, and License Verification

GeoSAP may collect and transmit telemetry, diagnostic, operational, security, or license verification information.   • improve reliability and performance;
  • identify and fix bugs;
  • protect against unauthorized use;
